BELIEVE IN JESUS: How We Recieve God's Free Gift of Salvation
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
Salvation Begins With Faith in Jesus Christ
God has already made the way for us to be saved through the death, burial, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ.
But how do we receive this gift?
The Bible tells us to believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is Lord and that God raised Him from the dead.
This is more than simply knowing about Jesus or believing that He existed. It means placing your trust in Him, recognizing Him as Lord, and believing that His sacrifice is sufficient to save you.
We cannot save ourselves through good works, religious traditions, or our own efforts. Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ.
When we put our faith in Him, we are responding to God's invitation to receive His forgiveness and eternal life.
And the Bible gives us another wonderful promise about anyone who calls upon the Lord.
